Tonight, the last opportunity to bet on college football during the 2022-2023 season kicks off at 7:30 in Los Angeles, California, as the #1 Georgia Bulldogs face the #3 Texas Christian University Horned Frogs in the CFP National Championship Game.
The Bulldogs have not lost a game since the 2021-22 SEC Championship Game 14 months ago. They narrowly survived the Ohio State Buckeyes in the CFP Semifinals, where a missed field goal by OSU in the closing moments granted Georgia a Peach Bowl victory.
TCU’s most recent loss was only one month ago to the Kansas State Wildcats in the Big 12 Championship Game, a team they had previously beaten on October 28th by a final score of 38-28.
The Horned Frogs may not have qualified for the College Football Playoffs if the USC Trojans hadn’t lost to the Utah Utes in the Pac-12 Championship. None of that matters now, as there are only two teams remaining that can compete for the CFP National Championship, and the USA’s best College Football Playoffs betting sites are leaning heavily in favor of the Georgia Bulldogs.
CFP National Championship Betting Line
- Point Spread: Georgia -13.0, TCU +13.0
- Moneyline: Georgia -450, TCU +335
- Over/Under: 63.0
Georgia will have to beat TCU by two touchdowns in order to cover the massive point spread of -13.0, and the over/under implies that tonight’s game will be a high-scoring affair.
The Bulldogs are so heavily favored that football betting sites are requiring wagers of $4.50 to win $1 on Georgia’s current moneyline odds to win.
If the Horned Frogs end up victorious, significant profits are up for the taking. A $1 bet on TCU’s odds to win will result in cash payouts of $4.35 if they are victorious tonight.
Betting on TCU to cover the 13-point spread is also an option and worthy of consideration because their only loss of the season was by 3 points in overtime to Kansas State for the Big 12 title.
So it will be a big challenge for us. We know that. Obviously, Georgia’s a team that’s very, very talented. The thing that I’ve found most impressive about them, however, is how well-coached they are. Kirby and his staff do an excellent job really in all three phases of the game.

For fans that are going to attend the game, don’t plan on doing any tailgating in the parking lot. The CFP has prohibited pre-game tailgating, so perhaps a visit to a local watering hole along the walking route to SoFi Stadium is in order.
Although there are no domestic sportsbook venues allowed inside the Golden State, legal sports betting in California is possible using offshore gambling sites.
Any of the online sports betting sites that we’ve reviewed here at USASBS can be accessed from inside of CA and used to wager on CFP odds, including tonight’s National Championship Game.
The same goes for most states in the USA, but make sure to read the terms and conditions of membership, as some sites do not accept new signups from certain regions.
