The new CFP format begins this offseason and will include 12 teams for the first time. According to the odds at college football betting sites, there may be only room for the ACC Champions in the 12-team bracket.
That’s because most of the oxygen continues to be taken up by the SEC and their powerhouse programs. As the NCAAF futures currently stand, one program from both the ACC and Big-12 will make it to the CFP.
Two teams in the Big Ten and one additional conference winner will qualify. That leaves the remaining seven positions to the Southeastern Conference.

Liberty is projected to win the Conference USA Championship, and their final ranking will secure them a CFP seed if they are the next highest after the Power Four conference champs.
